$2 Paper Billing Fee for Water and Tax Bills

Paper water bills will have a $2 fee starting in March 2026.

This $2 fee also applies to property tax bills, beginning in June 2026.

This fee helps cover the real costs of printing and mailing paper bills, such as paper, envelopes, and postage. It also cuts down on paper use, improves service, and is more reliable during mail disruptions.

Those who sign up for e-billing will not be charged the $2 fee.

This March, Lanark County will host two public forums focused on Housing and Homelessness.

Residents are invited to share their perspectives, ideas, and concerns. Your input will play a meaningful role in shaping the County’s new 10‑Year Housing & Homelessness Plan.

Tuesday, March 10, 5 to 7 p.m.
Bob Rintoul Hall – Neelin Street Community Centre (75 Neelin Street)
Carleton Place

Thursday, March 12, 1 to 3 p.m.
Youth Arena Hall (71A Landsdowne Street)
Smiths Falls
