Municipal Space Needs Assessment
As the Municipality continues to grow, reviewing the condition of Municipal facilities and identifying current and future spatial needs will help support operational decisions and will ensure efficient and effective services for the residents of Mississippi Mills.
As part of the Strategic Plan, Council has identified the requirement for a Municipal Space Needs Assessment. This study is a systematic approach to evaluating and analyzing the space requirements of our Municipality and local government. The space needs assessment will evaluate the viability of existing municipal facilities and identify any requirements for renovation, expansion, or new construction.
The project will be completed in the following three phases:
Phase 1 (2025 – In Progress)
Building Condition Assessments. Establishing a Facility Condition Index (FCI).
Phase 2 (2026)
Stakeholder Engagement, Analysis of Future Growth Demands, Gap Analysis, Space Utilization and Optimization, Alternative Solutions and Cost Estimates.
Phase 3 (2027)
Implementation Process. Prioritizing, Planning, Communication to Public, Ongoing Monitoring and Evaluation.
