On Friday Feb 12 2021, Premier Ford announced Ontario Returning 27 Public Health Regions to Strengthened COVID-19 Response Framework.

Lanark Leeds and Grenville District Health Unit, which includes Mississippi Mills, has been moved back to the Green-Prevent Framework to start today, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. which means we are no longer subject to the Stay-at-Home order. 

With the Green-Prevent framework in place the following municipal facilities will re-open as of Tuesday February 16, 2021:  

  • Municipal Office, 3131 Old Perth Road, Almonte (Appointments are still required for all in person services such as commissioning services or meeting with Building and Planning)
  • Almonte Old Town Hall
  • Almonte Community Centre, Almonte
  • Stewart Community Centre, Pakenham
  • Almonte Daycare Centre
  • Library - Almonte and Pakenham (please visit  the library website for hours and operations)

* Please note that COVID protocols remain in place at all municipal facilities, including mandatory masks, hand sanitizing, social distancing, contact tracing etc.

The Public Works garages and Fire Halls remain closed to the public and non-essential visitors.

Council and Committee meetings will continue to be held virtually for the time being.
