It is with sadness that I share the passing of Past Ramsay Councillor, Marilyn Anderson. Mrs. Anderson passed on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, with family by her side.
Mrs. Anderson served as a Ramsay Township Councillor from 1994-1997. After amalgamation, she continued to represent Ramsay Ward on Mississippi Mills Council from 1998-2010. Throughout her 16 years in public service, Mrs. Anderson was a fierce defender of the rural community and of South Ramsay. She received a Community Builder Award in 2017 and was recognized as a “one-woman builder of welcoming and inclusive communities.”
As a past member of Council, flags at all municipal facilities will be lowered in Mrs. Anderson’s honour. Please keep the Anderson family in your thoughts and prayers during this solemn time.
