As part of Mississippi Mills Bicentennial celebrations, the Almonte Civitan Club is pleased to be hosting community luncheons as a way to bring people together in a comfortable, welcoming space.

The luncheons will take place on the first Thursday of each month, with the first one scheduled for Thursday, March 2nd. For $17 per person, you can enjoy turkey pot pie, salad, a bun, cake and tea and coffee. The cake is sponsored by the Municipality of Mississippi Mills and made by Baker Bob’s.

Tickets are available at Baker Bob’s or online at almontecivitan.com. Tickets should be purchased at least two days in advance. Everyone is welcome!

“The Almonte Civitan Club is always looking for ways to help people. By raising money, we are able to donate to so many deserving causes such as the Food Bank, Almonte General Hospital, Alzheimer’s Society, Dave Smith Treatment Centre and Lanark County Interval House to name a few. When people attend an event like these luncheons, they’re getting a good meal while supporting our community,” said Director Alice Puddington. “These lunches are for the community. If cost is an issue, a subsidy is available,” she added. You can call her at 613-614-3570 to arrange.
