Budget Spotlights 2025 #3: Mississippi Mills Childcare Services

Our bi-weekly Budget Spotlights shift to Mississippi Mills Childcare Services (MMCS) this week.
MMCS is licensed by the Ministry of Education under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. It has a capacity of 379 children, offering full day care, as well as before and after school programs, at four locations across the municipality:

Full-day care – Mississippi Mills Childcare Services (208 State Street) and 110 Paterson Street (connected to Holy Name of Mary Catholic School)

Before and after school programs – Holy Name of Mary Catholic School, Naismith Memorial Public School, R. Tait McKenzie Public School
All MMCS programs are planned and implemented by qualified Early Childhood Educators. Specialized services such as ConnectWell and speech therapy are also available for your child’s individual needs.
2025 PROPOSED CAPITAL PROJECTS – MISSISSIPPI MILLS CHILDCARE SERVICES
The following projects are proposed for MMCS in the draft 2025 Budget:

LED lighting retrofit

Roof drain repairs

Natural outdoor shade pergola / equipment (208 State Street)
