Media Release - MMFD Ottawa Street

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department responded to a fire inside industrial equipment just before 2 pm this afternoon on Ottawa Street, Almonte.  Crews from Almonte and Pakenham Crews quickly extinguished a fire inside equipment used to roast coffee.  Damage is estimated at $20,000.  The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.

Outbreak declared in St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville

The Health Unit is working with St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville to manage a COVID-19 outbreak. One staff member has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
