For the fourth year, the Pride flag is flying in Mississippi Mills and Council has unanimously proclaimed June is Pride Month. Today, I was happy to celebrate with members of Pride in Mississippi Mills and Lanark County Wide Pride before their Drive-Out Parade!

Total Burn Ban in Effect - June 1, 2023

Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) has changed the Municipality's burning status to Level 5 - Total Burn Ban. With conditions expected to remain dry throughout the weekend, MMFD would like to remind the public that this ban will remain in place until conditions dampen.
NOTE: All open air fires are prohibited during a fire ban, even those properties that have an Open Air Fire Permit. This ban applies to all types of burning, including campfires and fireworks.
