Statement from the Municipality - 38 Main Street East (Dungarvon Building)

An emergency meeting of Council was held this morning. The meeting was to inform Council of significant structural issues with the building located at 38 Main Street East (Dungarvon Building) in Almonte.

An assessment by engineers requires immediate action be taken. Options are: Close the road to one lane of traffic, complete required structural repairs or demolish the belltower. Emergency Council Meeting - October 6th, 2023

Council will hold an emergency meeting on Friday, October 6, 2023. 

The session is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

Panmure Road from Upper Dwyer Hill Road to Rocky Coady Trail Closed October 20-23

Panmure Road, between Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Rocky Coady Trail will be closed for construction as of 7 a.m. Friday, October 20 and will reopen at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 23.

The closure is due to a culvert replacement project by the City of Ottawa.
