The Chamber of Commerce is the vital networking hub for the town's business, arts and community organizations. The monthly mixers (after-hours business socials) provide a regular
opportunity to meet in an informal setting, share experiences and hear from featured speakers with a focus on learning.
About the Chamber
In 1995 a concerned and committed group of business people in the area saw the need to make a contribution to the economic health of the community and sought to establish a Chamber of Commerce.
This organization was formally registered under the Board of Trade's Act on March 15, 1996 as the Almonte, Ramsay, Pakenham Chamber of Commerce, and an application for name change was granted on December 9, 1997 to become Mississippi Mills Chamber of Commerce. According to its Constitution, the purpose of the Mississippi Mills Chamber of Commerce shall be "to improve trade and commerce and the economic, civic and social conditions in the community." The Mississippi Mills Chamber of Commerce (for Membership Application click below) is a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, which is the national voice of concerned business people on issues relating to the economic wellbeing of the country.
