With Chuck Commanda, Algonquin master canoe builder and his newly built birch bark canoe

 

12 noon to 1:30 p.m. A Traditional Lunch 

 

1:30 p.m. Elder William Commanda:  Circle of All Nations

With Romola Thumbadoo, author of “Learning from a Kindergarten Dropout”.

 

2:30 pm Learn Today.  Lead Tomorrow

 With Shaelyn Wabegijig, Plenty Canada, Youth training program.

 

3:30 – 5:00 pm We are All Treaty People:  Where do we want to be twelve months from now?

Interested but not able to join us for the entire event?

Lunch-time drop-ins (noon – 1:30 pm.) are more than welcome.
Take a break on the shore of the Mississippi, try some traditional food and have a chat with Chuck about the birch bark canoe.
