ADDITIONAL RECYCLING IN MISSISSIPPI MILLS!

Effective June 1, 2010 residents of Mississippi Mills will be able to put all #1 and #2 plastics food and beverage containers (tubs and lids) in the blue box. No more trying to decide which ones are accepted and which ones aren't!

ALSO

You can collect #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 plastic food and beverage containers and drop them off at one of the following two designated locations during operating hours;

•·      Howie Road Landfill Site - open Wednesdays (until end of October) and Saturdays (open all year round) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

•·      Pakenham Recycling Deport - open Saturday's from 8 a.m. to 12 noon

PLASTIC ITEMS NOT INCLUDED ARE THINGS SUCH AS:

• Plastic Grocery Bags
• Saran Wrap
• Bread Bags
• Plastic Wrappings from products such as toilet paper or paper towels
• Styrofoam

If you are unsure of an item please call Cindy and it will be determined if it can be recycled in our program or not.
