(LANARK COUNTY, ON) The first quarter of 2010 has shown a decrease in many criminal areas and an increase in enforcement. The alarm calls did not increase which is an excellent sign our community education programs are working and the township bylaw.

In the summer of 2007 the Mississippi Mills Police Services Board (PSB) hired a summer student to conduct a survey on the perceptions in the community of the services they receive from the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) including any concerns about policing. The information gathered is being used by the PSB to set objectives for the O.P.P. as part of both the Towns and O.P.P.s business planning processes.
The survey on policing issues within Mississippi Mills will be used by the Mississippi Mills Police Services Board to set objectives for the O.P.P. as part of both the Town's and O.P.P.'s business planning processes. The information gathered provides insight into the publics view of the Towns policing services as well as the many concerns that should be addressed in the community.
